Grand Canyon National Park Fun Fact: The Grand Canyon National Park is home to a population of California condors, one of the rarest birds in North America. Once nearly extinct, these impressive birds with wingspans up to 9.5 feet were reintroduced to the area in the 1990s as part of a conservation effort. Now, visitors to the canyon have a chance to spot them soaring above the cliffs!
